In the Quran, Allah encourages believers to call on Him and to lay their dreams, hopes, fears and uncertainties before Him, and assures them that He hears every word.

Say, 'O My slaves who have transgressed against their souls, despair not of the mercy of Allah, for Allah forgives all sins. He is the most Forgiving, the most Merciful'. (Q: 39:53)
